This year, however, he was hyped. His Aunt D sent him money for brand new picture clothes and he knew exactly what he wanted... something like dad wears. Shopping with him (the first time we've ever shopped for anything other than shoes -- thank goodness for hand-me-downs) was a dream. He knew exactly which tan slacks, blue shirt and blue tie he wanted. Easy peasy.
And for the first time ever, he didn't tire of the photo ops before I did.
None-the-less, I can't say that it was easy.
So boundless was his enthusiasm to get to the next ideal location for taking pictures, many of our shots turned out something like this...

And, of course, there was a little ham to go with that cheese.
... as well as breaks for climbing and leaping and playing and...
We ended up with some gems, however.
Yep, he's my handsome, seven-year-old boy.
