It was her last night of being eight years old.
Hubby was baffled, but I understood. It's exactly the kind of thing I would have gotten sentimental about as a kid. Heck, it's exactly the kind of thing I still get sentimental about.
This morning there is a beautiful nine year old girl sleeping on my couch. We are celebrating a birthday today!

They don't stay this size for long!

Wow do I know that feeling. Looks like her birthday is almost the same day as Paul's (we probably already had this conversation) as he turned 9 last week. Funny to think that this time 9 years ago we were probably both having very similar weeks as families.
