Last night Maddie asked me, "Do you just read real fast and try to get through the book or is the book like a movie in your head?"
I told her it depended on the book. The best books are like movies in my head.
"This Harry Potter book, it's just like watching a movie in my head," she said. "Sometimes I can't see what's going on around me because the movie is soooo good."
She's on book three of Harry Potter. Her goal is to read the entire series on her own before the final book comes out. That's 34 days if the counter on her sister's desktop is correct. A lot of reading, but if she continues to stay up past midnight with the movies in in her head... who knows. She might just make it.
