Just an FYI post for any of you who like to write. The Kansas Authors Club is now accepting entries for the 2007 Literary Contest. Guidelines can be found here. There are categories for prose and poetry. There is a contest for kids, as well.
The convention in October is a great opportunity to meet other writers and be inspired to kick-start your own writing career, if you are so inclined. Full details aren't yet available, but you can mark your calendars for October 5-7, 2007. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Wichita. This year's theme is Pen Life as Art, Write from the Heart.

Hmmm...I'm only going to be a "Kansas writer" for a few more weeks but maybe I'll try to pull something together. Even if it's only to say I got something done!
