A Picture

I've been awfully wordy this week, so I'll let you get on with your morning routine with just a photograph.



This is one of my all-time favorite pictures. This is my mother (on the pony) and my aunt circa 1945. The photo was taken when they lived in Texas.

According to my mom, this guy just walked the neighborhood with the pony, the costume, and a camera. He took pictures of all the kids and brought them back later to sell to the folks.

That would be fun, wouldn't it? Just walk your pony around the neighborhood taking pictures of all the kids. If I had a pony, I'd do it just so every kid could have a photo of themselves feeling like a cowboy/girl.
