On SUNDAY, I was going to blog about the beginnings of our "next house" search. We aren't actually house-hunting, just yet. But we did drive around our intended new city (we are about 98% sure at this point) and take a look at some of the houses on the market.
It was exciting, a bit more emotional for the kids than I expected. (No, we are not going to buy a house based on the fact that it has a balcony. We are also not going to buy a house based on the fact that it has a fire place. Nor are we buying a house based on the fact that there is a swimming pool in the back yard.)
What we are looking for is space. Inside - Outside. We're still debating the merits of looking for a small acreage in the country vs. a larger, rambling house in town. Of course, this is a smaller town we are looking at, so from many points of view it is all going to be considered rural.
On MONDAY I was going to blog about my computer addiction, only I spent the entire day doing long-overdue maintenance. Backing up important files. Dumping two-and-a-half years worth of STUFF from my hard drive. The little glitches and hang-ups due to an overloaded and under-cared for machine were getting unbearable. I'm pleased to announce that things seem to be bopping along just as if it were new, today.
I did survive the day without checking my email (well, I did pull out the laptop about two o'clock just to see if I was missing anything and I WAS!) Imagine that. My little boy had been invited to a birthday party. We missed it, unfortunately. Partly because I had not been entirely tuned in when the invitation was given and partly because I had NOT been obsessively checking my email, as usual.
Anyway, still struggling to get over this cough/head cold thing. Focusing on nothing but positive, good health thoughts because I have PLACES to go and THINGS to do!

So does this mean you are going to stop checking your mail obsessively? Drats! I'm feeling very alone ;) I check my mail too much.
Ha! No, it only means I will continue to have one day, once a month or so, where I don't obsessively check my email. For the rest of the month, I'm with you!
