Why?
Here are some excerpts from a customer's letter:
Several months ago I began planning a 95th birthday part for my great-aunt. When I started thinking about the invitations I knew that I wanted to have one that included a picture of my aunt as a child and also a current picture of her. The picture I had of her as a child was from about 1913 and was not in very good condition. I went to several different places and could not find anything I liked.
I was referred to your store my my neighbor and came in the evening of April 26th and was greeted by a lady named Tracy.
I have to admit, I feel a bit funny about being called a “lady,” surely I am not that proper…but I love the way this woman documented every detail.
…I explained to her what I wanted and she said it could be done without any problem… I returned on the specified day and was very surprised with what I received. Tracy had made 2 beautiful cards in different colors… These were much nicer invitations than I had seen anywhere else.
Admittedly, this job had come to me on a rather slow day, so I had spent some extra time fiddling with the pictures and colors. Honestly, I didn’t quite manage what I had pictured in my head, but the card did end up looking rather nice. I’ll just skip to the end. (This letter filled one entire page.)
I wanted to thank you for providing such great service and to let you know how much I appreciate Tracy’s helpfulness. She took the time to answer all of my questions, made the numerous changes I requested, and helped me pick out a “package deal” that was an excellent price. She did all of this with great attitude. Tracy is a great asset to your store with her wonderful customer service.
I like to believe that just feeling good about what you do is enough… but pats on the back like this make you feel just that much better.
…and the cookies… well, they do a little good for the spirit, as well.
