Timeless Tuesday: Once Upon a Stage
I waited for 27 years (or so) to get this picture. My mother didn't have her camera with her that night (which is really strange), but my friend's dad took plenty of pictures. She finally gave me copies!!
Once upon a time, I had the role of Belle Matthews in the Sunnyside Gradeschool spring musical. I thought it was the best part... Belle was this little old lady (thus, the gray hair) who was hard of hearing and dozed off through about two-thirds of the program (thus, the crick in my neck when the dang thing was over).
It was my only moment on stage, but I can still sing all those songs and I recall, at least somewhat, most of the lines.
Middle munchkin had a delightful time trying out for a Missoula Children's Theatre production last night. She will be a Seasider in this weekend's production of The Little Mermaid. She's so excited!

Are you doing Walk Kansas this year? What is the name of your group? In Rice County we are the Early Risers. It has helped me a lot to force myself to move more. The nicer weather has helped, too!
It looks to me like there could be a future star in the making? I admire anyone who can perform on a stage without freezing up. For just that reason I've never tackled the task. Keep us informed how the production is progressing!

Love your Timeless Tuesday! How cool. I was never in a play.
Is that a wig?
Congrats to Maddie on her upcoming role.
Not a wig -- that's my hair filled with powder and all kinds of gunk... now that I think of it, why didn't we just use a wig? I think because the part involved a lot of dancing (I was old, but I could kick it) and I was afraid of losing my hair!
