Three things about Evie

• Of my kids, she looks the most like me
  
• She’s got an awesome (sometimes wicked) sense of humor and she’s not afraid to use it
  
• We can share shoes now.
  

Three things about Maddie

• She could hum a recognizable tune before she started talking
  
• She decided she was a vegetarian at the age of six and she has never questioned that decision or wavered on her self-imposed “no meat” rule
  
• She is always doing and saying things that make me think of my mom and I feel like my mom knew her, even though mom died before she was born.
  

Three things about Kaman

• He’s the only one with blue eyes (like mine)
  
• He looks a lot like my dad AND my husband, which seems like it should be an impossibility, but it isn’t
  
• He loves to talk and talk and talk and talk and talk, but was entirely silent for twenty whole minutes today while looking at a creepy, crawly bug book.
