You can now find me writing here...

That diversion I wrote about a while back.

First, in case you don’t remember and care to fill yourself in.

So… that diversion that I got off on a few weeks ago? It is now sitting at 10,000+ words and I’m having more fun writing than I have had in a very, very long time. I keep thinking that perhaps it’s because my expectations are so low. I have never attempted to write fiction for children/teens before and I’ve never viewed myself as a writer in this genre. So with few expectations and very little experience at the bar to compare myself to, this has been a wonderfully freeing experience. As well, as I usually find when I really dive into a writing project, the more I write, the more ideas I get to write about, the more I write, the more I want to write, the more I write, and so on and so forth.

There’s no arguing, creativity breeds creativity.

Yesterday I spent about seven or eight blissful hours hiding away in the little corner cubby of my bedroom, pounding away at the keyboard. I revised, filled in, expanded, and kept on writing! I was having so much fun I very nearly passed up watching the season premiere of Desperate Housewives.

Very nearly, but I caved at the last minute. Poor hubby had spent most of the day working on laundry and trying to catch up with our mess of a kitchen. He even washed the vehicles yesterday! I figured I owed him a bit of face time, but he ended up escaping to his little corner of our bedroom to do yet more cleaning and sorting and organizing. He even vacuumed his bookshelves! What’s up with that?

Anyway, it was a blissful weekend in my little corner of the world. I hope each and every one of you enjoyed some down time, just doing what you love to do, as well.

If not – well get to it!

Your hubby must be a special guy to recognize your need for "me" time and to do chores while you revel in your writing. Vacuuming the bookshelves? Wow! That almost puts him in the Martha Stewart category! LOL

I look forward to reading it. By which I mean, "as soon as it is done and before anyone else does." Enjoy the happiness!
