Well, it certainly feels like holiday time around here now that dear hubby has officially taken his LAST law school final. In order to beat the holiday crowds, and in celebration of hubby being done, and as kind of a special holiday treat for the family -- we took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City.
I have to say that I think the very idea of the Great Wolf is pure genius. It's a water park. It's a motel. It's a complete entertainment package for the whole family. Honestly, everybody has fun. I've been there with two-year-olds. I've been there with sixty-two-year olds. They all had equitable amounts of fun.
This time we took a couple of friends (our count totaled 5 kids / 2 adults), and an awesome time was had by all. True, the food is outrageously overpriced, but there are ways of getting around that if you plan.
I'm stilling feeling positive vibes even though I had a horrible night (as far as sleeping) and was unable to actually swim this morning. The water was fun, but maybe didn't mix with the cold/cough thing that I've been trying to recover from.
That's okay -- today and tomorrow are being entirely devoted to recovery -- once and for all. Bring on the cough medicine. I'm calling it lights out!
