My schedule is completely topsy turvy and shows no promise of becoming regular again for at least the next nine days. Perhaps this will work to my advantage. I'm trying to remain optimistic. I'm looking at odd work hours (9-5, hey, that's odd for me), Rand being home on spring break, my daughter's ninth birthday to celebrate, a weekend trip with the kids and my sister, and my intent to focus on getting this novel written. I'm working my way through "the train wreck" as I've come to think of it. (Please note that there is no actual train wreck in my story, this is just my personal term for the climax of the story.) It's going well. I continue to see the path before me and it's almost as if I'm simply writing the story as I've observed it. When I'm not writing, I find myself thinking A LOT about the next story I want to write, a series of stories, in fact, all taking place in the same town as this current story, all dealing with characters who have been introduced in this story.
It looks as if I may actually be exchanging my early morning hours for late night ones for now. It's not ideal, but following this incredibly productive evening, I'm not going to fuss about it for now. It's all part of going with the flow, right? I'm just writing, writing, writing... whenever I can fit it in. Now it's time to fit in sleep since I do have work obligations tomorrow. Cross your fingers for another almost-3,000 words tomorrow!
