Make It With Wool

Today, Miss Middle Munchkin is attending the Make It With Wool competition. I was not even aware, until very recently, that such a competition existed. None the less, Miss M.M. enjoys sewing and has found a wonderful mentor in local fiber artist, Barb Say. She received the wool for this outfit as a gift from the local sewing guild.

The only downside, as far as I'm concerned, is that my part of this endeavor involved taking her shopping for accessories (the shirt, the tights, the boots, the necklace) to complete the outfit. This involved three separate shopping excursions with multiple visits to nearly every store in town. I'm not exaggerating. It was the most difficult kind of shopping where you have very specific ideas in mind. We almost got what she was envisioning. Close enough, as I like to say. (Especially after the nearly 3 hour shopping trip on Wednesday!)

The outfit looks marvelous, however, and Miss M.M. paid me back by letting me take lots of fun pictures. I'm really looking forward to staging these again when we have a light blanket of snow on the ground.

I'm not a shopper, but for her it was worth it.
